Hlavním cílem této práce je přestavit vybrané písně amerického country zpěváka Johnnyho Cashe a jejich české překlady, prozkoumat určité problémy spojené s překladem písňových textů, analyzovat vybrané písně a okomentovat proces překladu a změny, které při překladu nastaly, s přihlédnutím k pozadí písní i k faktorům, které mohly mít vliv na proces překladu.
