"My future lies here". A comparison of migration motives of first generation Turkish and Moroccan immigrants

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je popis a následné srovnání migračních motivů tureckých a marockých přistěhovalců, kteří přišli do Nizozemska v průběhu šedesátých, sedmdesátých a osmdesátých let dvacátého století. V první části této práce se věnuji použité terminologii a vývoji nizozemsko-tureckých a nizozemsko-marockých diplomatických vztahů. Druhá část práce je zaměřená na popis a porovnání samotných migračních motivů.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to provide a description and comparison of migration motives of Turkish and Moroccan immigrants who came to the Netherlands between the years 1960 and 1990. The first part is focused on terminology and diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and both Turkey and Morocco. The second part consists of the description and comparison of the migration motives.
