The thesis deals with the topic of Sudeten Germans and examines the hometown books (in German Heimatbücher) of three already disappeared Sudeten German villages, as well as the villages themselves in the then county Tachov in Westbohemia. Tato práce se věnuje tématu sudetských Němců a zkoumá tzv. Heimatbücher tří již zmizelých sudetoněmeckých vesnic i ty přímo zmizelé vesnice v bývalém okrese Tachov. Nejprve je vysvětlen pojem kultura vzpomínání. Dále je čtenář seznámen s okresem Tachov, s důrazem na historii a odsun tamního německy mluvícího obyvatelstva po roce 1945.
