Self Service BI solution for the company PROPLAST K s.r.o.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřená na analýzu a návrh business intelligence řešenípro společnost PROPLAST K. Cílem je charakteristika vnitřního i vnějšího prostředíspolečnosti a návrh prototypního BI řešení přímo na míru analyzovaným potřebám pod-niku. Díky spolupráci s vedením společnosti je práce postavená na konkrétních požadav-cícha reálných potřebách. První část práce je věnovaná teoretickému úvodu do problematiky, následuje charakteristika společnosti jako takové a analýza aktuálního stavu informační-ho systému. Díky pochopení prostředí, souvislostí a potřeb je v další části vypracována úvodní studie SSBI řešení, na kterou navazuje nosná část bakalářské práce, a to samotná business intelligence prototypní aplikace. Toto řešení využijí řídící pracovníci hlavně v podpoře rozhodování, ale také získají komplexní pohled na stav podnikání za poskytnu-té časové období. Hlavním přínosem práce je reálná implementace do malé rodinné spo-lečnosti, která by mohla napomoci jejímu fungování a hospodaření.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis and proposal of business intelligence solution for the company PROPLAST K. The aim is to characterize both the internal and external environment of the company and to propose a prototypical BI solution for the specific analyzed company needs. Thanks to the cooperation with the company Management, the thesis is based on particular requirements and real needs. The first part provides the theo-retical background as well as the characteristics of the company itself. Moreover, it ex-amines the current state of the information system. The detailed description of the envi-ronment, context and needs functions as the basis for making an introductory study of SSBI solution which is followed by the practical part of the thesis, and that is the business intelligence of a prototypical application. The managers may use this solution especially for decision making and they will also gain a deep insight in the state of business for a given period of time. The main contribution of the thesis is the practical implementation which might help in running a small family company, including its effective manage-ment.
