This bachelor thesis focuses on the personality of the last crowned king of the Czech lands. Through a thorough examination of scholarly literature, the thesis presents his life, with one of its objectives being to ascertain how Ferdinand I. is portrayed to the general public at the Zákupy Castle, where he frequently resided after abdication in 1848.
