Abstract:

The thesis constitutes the question of applying the Czech version of experiential learning in teaching English as a foreign language. The Czech approach to experiential learning is represented by the methods developed and used by Vacation School Lipnice. The thesis consists of three main parts. The first part introduces the theoretical background of experiential learning and the specific methods and approach used by VSL. The second part presents the methodological issues of the work. The last part of the thesis introduces the outcome of a case study of a course, where experiential learning was used in teaching English.
