Abstract:
This thesis deals with the Partition of India in 1947 and its reflection and depiction of its consequences in Khushwant Singh’s novel Train to Pakistan, Salman Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children, Bapsi Sidhwa’s Cracking India, and Amitav Ghosh’s The Shadow Lines.
