The Reception of Leos Janacek's piano works

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá recepcí Janáčkova klavírního díla. Shromažďuje informace a odpovídá na otázky vztahující se k tomuto úzkému zaměření statě na část díla. Dovídáme se údaje, která literatura a do jaké míry se k tématu vztahuje a jaké informace obsahuje. Recepci studuje ve smyslu přijetí díla a také ve smyslu obsahu. Práce se také snaží najít konkrétní interpretační vodítka ke klavírnímu dílu Leoše Janáčka. Na základě poznatků z dostupných materiálů přibližuje interpretaci Janáčkova klavírního díla a poukazuje na skutečnost, že je nutné zaobírat se Janáčkem v širších souvislostech, pokud chceme správně prezentovat a pochopit jeho dílo. Práce přichází s dalšími důležitými náměty, které čekají v souvislosti s klavírním dílem na zpracování. Recepce klavírního díla poukazuje na kvalitu klavírního díla Leoše Janáčka a na jeho významné místo vedle opěvovaných operních a komorních děl.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the reception of Janacek’s piano works. It collects information and answers questions relating to this narrow focus of the thesis as regards part of the composer´s works. We learn information about what literature is related to the topic and to what extent, and about what information it contains. Reception is studied within the meaning of adoption of works and also their content. The thesis also tries to find interpretative clues to Leos Janacek’s piano works. Based on the findings from the available materials, the thesis addresses interpretation of Janacek’s piano works and points out the fact that if we want to present and understand his works correctly, it is necessary to study Janacek within a broader context. The thesis comes up with other important topics that are waiting (in connection with piano works) to be processed. Reception of piano works points out to the quality of Leos Janacek’s piano works and their important place alongside celebrated operatic and chamber works.
