The impact of a social therapeutic workshop on behavior and social integration of people with mental handicap

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou mentálního postižení, popisuje jeho projevy a příčiny vzniku. Charakterizuje osoby s mentálním postižením a zabývá se jejich psychologickými zvláštnostmi. Teoretická část pojednává o postojích rodiny, do níž se narodí dítě s postižením, zabývá se edukací těchto jedinců a jejich následným uplatněním na trhu práce. Je zde také popsán systém sociálních služeb včetně transformace. Praktická část je pojata jako kvantitativní výzkum, jehož cílem je zhodnotit přínos sociálně terapeutické dílny a její vliv na chování a sociální začlenění dospělého jedince s mentálním postižením.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis deals with mental disability issue, describes its manifestations, causes of development, characterizes persons with mental disability and its psychological tendencies. Theoretical parts discusses family stances into which the baby with mental disability is born, The further development of the individual is tracked in regard to education and later employment possibilities as aided by social care services. Practical part is concieved as quantitative research which purpose is to evaluate the contribution of the social therapeutic workshop and its influence on the bevaiour and social integration of the adults with mental disability.
