Restoration of Collection of Paintings on Paper

Abstract:

Praktická časť bakalárskej práce sa zaoberá reštaurovaním súboru umeleckých diel na papierovej podložke. Ide o obrazy prevedené rôznymi technikami, ktorých miera poškodenia si vyžadovala rôznorodý stupeň reštaurátorského alebo konzervačného zaistenia. Súbor diel predstavuje širokú škálu problémov a umeleckých techník, s ktorými sa reštaurátor papiera môže stretnúť v bežnej praxi. Teoretická časť bakalárskej práce nadväzuje na reštaurovanie jedného z objektov, konkrétne "Portrétu ženy od Bohumily Doleželovej. Stručne predstavuje jej život a predovšetkým prezentuje jej umeleckú tvorbu zameranú na rómsku tematiku. Súčasťou teoretickej práce je aj porovnanie reštaurovanej maľby s inými Doleželovej dielami.

Abstract:

Practical part of Bachelor thesis deals with restoration of complex of works of arts on paper. Different art techniques were used in these paintings, whose grade of degradation varies and therefore they needed different restoration or conservation handling. The collection of works of art on paper introduces a variety of problems and art techniques found in conservator's daily routine. Theoretical part of bachelor thesis refers to restoration of one of the objects, to be more specific to "Woman's portrait by Bohumila Doleželová. Thesis introduces shortly her life and especially her art aimed on gypsies. The second part of theoretical thesis compares restored painting to her other paintings.
