Perception of a family among people with schizophrenia

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá percepcí rodiny u osob se schizofrenií. Cílem diplomové práce je zprostředkovat jedinečný pohled osob se schizofrenním onemocněním v remisi na své rodiny, zachytit jejich zkušenost ze života v rodině a nabídnout tak alternativní úhel pohledu k dosavadním poznatkům o rodinách osob se schizofrenií. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Teoretická část je věnována popisu schizofrenního onemocnění. Pozornost náleží rovněž tématu percepce se zvláštním důrazem na interpersonální percepci a také základním poznatkům z psychologie rodiny. Praktická část se věnuje výsledkům výzkumu prezentovaným formou vícenásobné případové studie. Výzkumný soubor tvořily čtyři osoby se schizofrenií v remisi. Použitými metodami získávání dat bylo polostrukturované interview a Test rodinného systému FAST

Abstract:

This work deals with perception of a family among people with schizophrenia. The main aim of the thesis is to present the unique insight of people with schizophrenic illness in remission into their families, to capture their experience of living in the family and to offer an alternative point of view to the present observations about families of people with schizophrenia. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is dedicated to the characterization of schizophrenic illness. Attention is paid to perception with a focus on interpersonal perception and also to key findings on family psychology. The results are derived from multiple case studies in my practical research. The research sample consists of four people with schizophrenia in remission. The semi-structured interviews and the Family system test were used for research methods
