Shamanism - a way of renaissance of environmentally friendly style of life? (Case study)

Abstract:

The main theme of the work is shamanism as an opportunity for inspiration when looking for the environmentally friendly way of life for modern people. The theme itself seems to be burden with various prejudices, ambivalence and polysemous interpretations – and that is why I set the work aim in its first chapter: to introduce the phenomenon of shamanism into the context of environmental ethics, to perceive it without prejudices and to reflect it. The second chapter deals with the cosmology of the shaman world, the aspects of changed conscious state and basic methods of core shamanism. The third chapter is devoted to the particular shaman experience and by being involved into a series of shaman courses led by a shaman I present my direct experience which is intermediated by interviews with particular course participants and completed with a questionnaire. The fourth chapter focuses on opportunities the discovery of shamanism might bring in our recent effort to improve the environment in order to interpret them and give the seen a certain meaningful shape. The chapter supposes the form and content of a human communication with the nature are primarily based on the understanding the nature. Because of it I think of an opportunity or the use of shaman consciousness as a form of communication by which a man perceives the nature as a partner and can fulfil his disposition to heal himself and relations he is bound to the nature with.

Abstract:

Hlavnou témou práce je šamanizmus ako možnosť inšpirácie pri hľadaní environmentálne priaznivého životného spôsobu ľudí dnešnej doby.Táto téma je zaťažená mnohými predsudkami, hlbokou ambivalentnosťou a mnohoznačnými interpretáciami – v 1. časti preto vymedzujem svoj záujem a cieľ práce: fenomén šamanizmu priviesť do kontextu environmentálnej etiky, bezpredsudočne naň nazerať a reflektovať. V 2.časti práce približujem kozmológiu šamanského sveta, podmienku zmeny stavu vedomia v šamanskej praxi a základné metódy základného šamanizmu (core shamanism). V 3.časti sa zameriavam na konkrétnu šamanskú prax a absolvovaním série šamanských kurzov pod vedením šamanky prinášam priamu skúsenosť, ktorú sprostredkovávam rozhovormi s jednotlivými účastníkmi týchto kurzov doplnené dotazníkom. V 4. kapitole diskutujem o možnostiach, ktoré prináša „znovuobjavenie“ šamanizmu v súčasných snahách o zlepšenie stavu prírody, aby som v závere interpretovala a uzavrela uvidené do zrozumiteľného tvaru. V tejto časti vychádzam z prepokladu, že možnosť, podoba i obsah komunikácie človeka s prírodou sú v prvom rade závislé od porozumenia prírode. Z tohoto dôvodu uvažujem o možnosti či použiteľnosti šamanského stavu vedomia ako druhu komunikácie, ktorým človek vníma prírodu ako partnera a môže naplniť svoju dispozíciu liečiť samého seba i vzťahy, ktorými je previazaný s prírodou.
