Cieľom práce je poukázať na vplyv vnútenej vnútornej migrácie v Číne na čínsku spoločnosť na základe porovnania troch vybraných prípadov, pri ktorých ľudia museli nedobrovoľne opustiť svoje domovy. Práca je rozdelená do siedmych kapitol, ktoré sa venujú migrácii, využívaniu pôdy, analýze vybraných prípadov, formám vyjadrenia nesúhlasu zo strany obyvateľov a reakcii štátu.
