Mentoring as Part of the Nurse's Adaptation Process

Anotácia:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem mentoringu jako součást adaptačního procesu sestry. Teoretická část se zabývá charakteristikou mentoringu, definicí mentora a průběhem adaptačního procesu všeobecných sester v podmínkách daného zařízení. Na základě kvalitativního průzkumu je popsána problematika mentoringu v rámci adaptačního procesu sester a dále je popsán průběh mentoringu v ošetřovatelské praxi v daném zařízení. Praktická část se zaměřuje na zjištění, jakým způsobem probíhá adaptační proces z pohledu mentora, jaké existují výhody v rámci adaptačního procesu z pohledu mentora, jaké existují nevýhody v rámci adaptačního procesu z pohledu mentora a v neposlední řadě zjistit, jaká doporučení navrhují v rámci adaptačního procesu mentoři. Průzkumné šetření je realizováno technikou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s certifikovanými mentory, kteří pracují v různých pracovních pozicích na odlišných odděleních lůžkové i perioperační péče. Tato práce poukazuje na současný a nevyhovující stav adaptačního procesu v daných oblastech. Mezi tyto oblasti patří hlavně oblast zaškolování, vyhodnocení a ukončení adaptačního procesu. V závěru bakalářské práce jsou uvedena doporučení pro praxi, která vyplývají z výsledků průzkumu.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of mentoring as part of the adaptation process of a nurse. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of mentoring, the definition of a mentor and the course of the adaptation process of general nurses in the conditions of the given facility. On the basis of a qualitative survey, the issue of mentoring in the adaptation process of nurses is described, and the course of mentoring in nursing practice in the given facility is also described. The practical part focuses on finding out how the adaptation process is going on from the mentor's point of view, what the advantages of the adaptation process from the mentor's point of view are, what the disadvantages of the adaptation process from the mentor's point of view are and, last but not least, finding out what recommendations they propose as part of the adaptation process mentors. The exploratory survey is carried out using the technique of semi-structured interviews with certified mentors who work in different positions in different departments of inpatient and perioperative care. This work points to the current and unsatisfactory state of the adaptation process in the given areas. These areas mainly include training, evaluation and completion of the adaptation process. At the end of the bachelor's thesis, recommendations for practice are presented, which emerge from the results of the survey.
