Relationship between selected polymorphisms (ACTN3 R577X, NOS3 Glu298Asp, AMPD1 C34T) and performance in speed-force motor tests

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zjistit, zda lze najít souvislost mezi výskytem vybraných polymorfismů (ACTN3 R577X, NOS3 Glu298Asp, AMPD1 C34T) a výsledky vybraných rychlostně silových motorických testů (skok z místa s odrazem snožmo, člunkový běh 4 × 10 m (sprint), test flexibility, Fitro agility Check test) u skupiny sportujících osob. Výzkumný soubor tvoří 90 osob, které studují na Katedře tělesné výchovy a sportu (PF UJEP) studijní programy v kombinaci s tělesnou výchovou. Soubor se skládá z 47 mužů (průměrný věk: 22,94 (? 1,74) let; BMI: 24,02 ? 2,50) a 43 žen (průměrný věk: 22,23 (? 2,19) let; BMI: 21,87 ? 2,88). Genetický vzorek (DNA) se odebíral bukál-ním stěrem. Mezi sledovanými polymorfismy a výkony v motorických testech nebyla zjištěna závislost. Ačkoliv vztah mezi polymorfismy a výkony nebyl zjištěn, je nutné se touto problematikou nadále zabývat. Doufáme, že výsledky této studie mohou doplnit současné poznání v oblasti sportovní genomiky.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to find out whether it is possible to find a connection between the occurrence of selected polymorphisms (ACTN3 R577X, NOS3 Glu298Asp, AMPD1 C34T) and the results of selected speed-strength motor tests (two-footed long jump from the spot, shuttle run 4 × 10 m (sprint), flexibility test, Fitro Agility Check test) in a group of athletes. The research group consists of 90 persons studying at the Department of Physical Education and Sport (PF UJEP) study programs in combination with Physical Education. The group consists of 47 men (average age: 22.94 (? 1.74) years; BMI: 24.02 ? 2.50) and 43 women (average age: 22.23 (? 2.19) years; BMI: 21.87 ? 2.88). The genetic sample (DNA) was taken by buccal swab. There was no dependence between polymorphisms and performance in motor tests. Although the relationship between polymorphisms and performance has not been established, it is necessary to continue to deepen this research area. We hope that the results of this study can complement the current knowledge in the field of sports genomics.
