Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá popisem a návrhem kurzu cizího jazyka vyučovaného v mateřské škole pro velmi malé děti. Teoretická část popisuje základní terminologii v oblasti učení se a osvojování mateřského i cizího jazyka. Kapitoly tři a čtyři se zabývají vzděláváním dětí v mateřské škole a charakteristikami, které jsou typické pro předškolní děti ve věku 2-6 let. Cílem praktické části práce je popsat klíčové aspekty a prvky úspěšného kurzu cizího jazyka pro takzvané super mladé žáčky – děti z mateřské školy ve věku již od 2 let. Jsou zde popsány příklady dobré pedagogické praxe a vhodné metodiky spolu s návrhem osnovy celého kurzu. Příloha nabízí ukázky hotových materiálů, které by mohly být použity při vyučování podobných kurzů v předškolních institucích.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis aims to introduce a proposal for foreign language course for super young learners (SYLs) in kindergartens. Firstly, the theoretical part explains key terminology and provides an insight into first and second language acquisition. It outlines some of the approaches to explaining second language acquisition. Chapters three and four deal with children’s learning at kindergarten and the specifics that pre-school children at the age 2-6 years old possess. Secondly, the objective of the practical part of the thesis is to describe key aspects and elements of a successful L2 course for SYLs. Examples of good teaching practice and appropriate methodology for SYLs are described along with an outline of practical curriculum of the proposed course. The attachment offers samples of ready-made materials which might be used while teaching the SYLs in preschool institutions.
