The novellas of M. A. Bulgakov in the context of the Russian literature in the 20´s of the 20th century

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis named The novellas of M. A. Bulgakov in the context of the Russian literature in the 20?s of the 20th century deals with three Bulgakov?s novellas (the Devilry, the Fatal Eggs, the Heart of a Dog). Its aim is to describe main themes and ideas of novellas and to find a similarity in a literary work of other Russian and foreign writers. The thesis also deals with life and literary work of M. Bulgakov, describes the most signifiant events in his life. The thesis tries to find the reason for his change of writing from the realistic prose to the fantastic prose. It researches elements used in fantastic works. It also deals with the literary context of that time, especially satirical and fantastic literature, to which Bulgakov belongs.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem Novely M. A. Bulgakova v kontextu ruské literatury 20. let 20. století se zabývá třemi fantastickými novelami M. Bulgakova (Diaboliáda, Osudná vejce, Psí srdce). Jejím cílem je určit hlavní témata a myšlenky novel. Na základě témat poté najít podobnost v jiných dílech ruských i světových autorů. Práce se také věnuje životu a dílu M. Bulgakova, snaží se zmapovat nejdůležitější události v jeho životě. Dále se snaží najít a určit příčinu jeho přechodu od realistické prózy k próze fantastické. Zkoumá prvky, které autor používá k dosažení fantastického obrazu. Zabývá se také literárním kontextem dané doby, hlavně satirickou a fanastickou literaturou, ke které se Bulgakov řadí.
