Abstract:

Cieľom tejto práce je reflektovať, pomenovať a kategorizovať stratégie a mechanizmy, ktoré spolu so svojimi spolutvorkyňami a spolutvorcami uplatňujem v kolektívnej tvorbe performatívnych diel. Ide o uvažovanie nad rolou režiséra, poťažmo nad funkciou réžie v skupinovej, nehierarchickej tvorbe. Vlastné skúsenosti zo skupiny Unkulunkulu, a najmä z performance escapescapescape konfrontujem s tvorbou českých, slovenských a svetových skupín, ktoré pracujú metódami devising a kolektívnej tvorby. Veľký dôraz pri tom kladiem na priateľstvo, ako alternatívnu silu organizácie skupiny, oproti opresívnemu patriarchálnemu hierarchickému modelu. Výsledkom nemá byť nová „metóda“, ale pomenovanie inak skrytých, intuitívnych procesov. V závere rekapitulujem skúsenosti, otázky a riziká, ktoré so sebou takáto prax nesie.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to notice, reflect and categorize the strategies and mechanisms that me and my co-creators employ in the collective creation of performative works. This involves reflecting on the role of the director, and more importantly, the function of directing in the work of non-hierarchical companies. I confront my own experience from the Unkulunkulu company, and especially from the performance escapescapescape, with the work of Czech, Slovak and international groups that work with methods of devising and collective creation. In doing so, I place great emphasis on friendship as an alternative force of organization, as opposed to the oppressive patriarchal hierarchical model. The result is not meant to be a new "method" but a naming of otherwise hidden, intuitive processes. I conclude by recapitulating the experiences, issues and risks that such a practice entails.
