Donald Trump and His Anti-Immigration Policy

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis explores the immigration policy of the former president of the United States of America, Donald Trump. The aim of this paper is to become familiar with Donald Trump's visions for his presidential campaign in 2016 and ascertain to what extent they were implemented during his presidential term. First, the thesis describes Donald Trump's presidential campaign and the promises he made to American citizens concerning, among other problems, immigration from Mexico and Islamic countries to the United States. This paper then focuses on the Trump wall, which was planned to be built on the American - Mexican border in order to prevent Central and South Americans from entering the United States illegally. Finally, this paper will look at the immigration ban for people coming from Muslim countries, and the restricted issuing of Green Cards.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá imigrační politiku bývalého amerického prezidenta Donalda Trumpa. Cílem této práce je seznámit se s vizemi Donalda Trumpa z jeho prezidentské kampaně v roce 2016 a zjistit, nakolik byly realizovány během jeho funkčního období. Nejdříve tato práce popisuje prezidentskou kampaň Donalda Trumpa a sliby, které dal Americkým občanům, týkající se, mimo jiné, imigrace z Mexika a muslimských zemí. Dále se tato práce zaměřuje na Trumpovu zeď, která se plánovala postavit na americko - mexické hranici. V neposlední řadě se práce také zabývá zákazem imigrace pro občany muslimských zemí, a omezení vydávání Zelených karet.
