Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o klavíristovi 20. století Friedrichu Guldovi. Tuto osobnost přibližuje v životopise a zaměřuje se na rozdíly mezi dvěma kariérami-kariérou interpreta vážné hudby a jazzového pianisty. Pro detailní poznání Guldova pianistického umění je provedeno srovnání interpretací s jeho současníkem a kolegou Alfredem Brendelem. Rozsáhlá část práce je věnována Guldově skladatelské činnosti se zaměřením na klavírní dílo. Je provedena také analýza klavírního cyklu Play piano play a v závěru práce se nachází kompletní seznam díla.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the pianist of the 20th century Friedrich Gulda. This personality is described in the biography and it is focused on the differences between two careers - the career of a classical music performer and a jazz pianist. For a detailed knowledge of Gulda's pianistic art, a comparison of interpretations with his contemporary and colleague Alfred Brendel is made. An extensive part of the work is devoted to Gulda's composing activities with a focus on piano work. An analysis of the piano cycle Play piano play is also made and at the end of the work there is a complete list of works.
