Printing ink for restoration

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo shromáždit informace týkající se složení a výroby černých tiskových barev, a to od vynálezu knihtisku až po současnost a na základě získaných informací formulovat recepturu tiskařské černě, která bude následně použita pro přípravu vzorků pro studium příčin a mechanizmů degradace tiskařské černě na papírové podložce. V teoretické části práce jsou shrnuty výsledky rešerše na téma historie knihtisku a tiskových barev a jsou zde uvedeny dostupné receptury tiskových barev používaných v minulosti. V rámci experimentální části práce byla formulována receptura tiskařské černi a připraveny vzorky této barvy. Byly také stanoveny vlastnosti tiskové barvy a vlastnosti použitých tiskových papírů.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to gather information concerning composition and production of black printing inks, namely from invention letterpress to the present and based on the information gathered, formulate a recipe of printing ink, which will be subsequently used for the preparation of samples for the study of causes and mechanisms of degradation of printing ink on paper. In the theoretical part of the thesis are summarized results of research on the history of letterpress and printing inks and are presented recipes of printing inks used in the past. In the experimental part was formulated the recipe of printink ink and were prepared samples of this ink. Also were determined ink properties and characteristics of printing papers.
