Financial health company of Tiscali, s.r.o

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce má za cíl zhodnotit finanční zdraví společnosti TISCALI, s.r.o. na základě vypracování její finanční analýzy. Vybraná společnost se zabývá především provozováním internetových medií, mezi které spadá vlastní zpravodajství, poskytování emailových schránek, filmové a herní recenze a datová úložiště. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena do částí teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části práce popisuje metody, postupy a datové zdroje pro tvorbu finanční analýzy a vysvětluje její důležitost pro řízení a hodnocení výkonnosti a zdraví společnosti. Podrobně jsou zde popsány ukazatele finanční analýzy, jejichž hodnoty a vývoj v čase informují řídící pracovníky o možných nedostatcích v činnosti společnosti, vedoucích k potencionálním finančním problémům. Praktická část bakalářské práce představuje jmenovanou společnost a popisuje její hlavní činnosti, pro potřeby pozdějšího posouzení vypočtených ukazatelů. Následuje zpracování vlastní koncepce řešené problematiky, které je provedeno pomocí finanční analýzy společnosti Tiscali, s.r.o. Hlavním zdrojem pro vytvoření finanční analýzy jsou účetní výkazy společnosti ve vývoji 4letého období. Nad daty z těchto výkazů jsou provedeny výpočty nejdůležitějších ekonomických ukazatelů podle teoretické části této práce. Na závěr práce jsou shrnuty výsledky vytvořené finanční analýzy a jsou formulována doporučení, která by mohla společnost provést k částečnému zlepšení finančního zdraví.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis aims to assess the financial health of the company TISCALI, s.r.o. using methods of financial analysis. The selected company mainly operates in the Internet media, the news, providing mailbox services, publishes film and game reviews and provides data storage. Bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of the work describes the methods, procedures, and data sources necessary for the creation of financial analyses and explains its importance for the company management and evaluation of the performance and health of the company. The financial analysis indicators are described in detail in this part. Their values and development in time inform managers about possible failures in the company's activities, which could lead to potential financial problems. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis introduces the company and describes its main activities, for the purpose of later assessment of the calculated indicators. Then follows own financial analysis of Tiscali, s.r.o. The Company's financial statements in the 4-year period are the main source of this financial analysis. Data from above mentioned statements are used to make calculations of the most important economic indicators according to the theoretical part of this thesis. Finally, the results of the financial analysis are summarized and recommendations are formulated for the company to partially improve its financial health.
