Foreign Language Learning Strategies at the Lower Secondary

Abstract:

Diplomová práce "Strategie učení cizímu jazyku u žáků 2. stupně ZŠ" pojednává nejprve o výuce cizích jazyků na našich školách a o problematice strategií učení cizímu jazyku zejména u žáků na 2. stupni ZŠ. Práce se zaměřuje na otázku, jestli žáci vůbec vědí, co jsou to strategie učení a jak je mohou využít při učení se např. angličtiny nebo němčiny. Proto se teoretická část blíže věnuje popisu jednotlivých strategií podle R. L. Oxfordové. Praktická část je založena na výzkumu strategií učení CJ mezi žáky 9. ročníků ZŠ. Výsledek je srovnán s výsledky výzkumu z Brna.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis “Foreign Language learning Strategies at the Lower Secondary School” deals for the first time with the system of teaching foreign languages at schools in our republic and for the foreign language learning strategies, especially at the lower secondary school. It aims at the question if the pupils know what does the term learning strategies mean and how they could take advantages of them by learning f.e. English or German. That is why the theoretical part describes particular strategies according to R. L. Oxford. The practical part is based on the empirical research of the language learning strategies among the pupils at the lower secondary school. The last part of this thesis compares the results with the results from Brno.
