Design of Optimization of Enterprise Information System in an Organization

Abstract:

The subject of the thesis "Proposal for optimization of the information system in the selected organization" is the analysis of the existing information system (hereinafter IS) with focus on two modules and assessment of the current state of processes in the selected organization. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The practical part is divided into two units describing the optimization of two processes (purchasing and billing). For each analyzed process, the thesis includes a description of the current state of the process, its current implementation in the IS and then the optimization proposal. The analysis will focus on identifying the most significant IS deficiencies. I will use the acquired knowledge to create a proposal for optimization of given processes in IS. I will briefly evaluate the benefits and risks of the proposed solution in the discussion of this work.

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce „Návrh na optimalizáciu informačného systému vo vybranej organizácii “ je rozbor existujúceho informačného systému (ďalej aj IS) so zameraním sa na dva moduly a posúdenie aktuálneho stavu procesov vo vybranej organizácii. Práca sa skladá z teoretickej a praktickej časti. Praktická časť je rozdelená do dvoch celkov, popisujúcich optimalizáciu dvoch procesov (nákupný a fakturačný). Pre každý analyzovaný proces práca obsahuje popis súčasného stavu procesu, jeho súčasnú implementáciu v IS a následne návrh optimalizácie. V rámci analýzy sa zameriam na identifikáciu najvýraznejších nedostatkov IS. Získané poznatky využijem pre tvorbu návrhu na optimalizáciu daných procesov v IS. Prínosy a riziká navrhovaného riešenia budem v krátkosti hodnotiť v diskusii tejto práce.
