Functional differential equations in botany

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme tématu funkcionálních diferenciálních rovnic. Tyto rovnice vznikly spojením funkcionálních a diferenciálních rovnic. Většina funkcionálních diferenciálních rovnic se však obtížně řeší. Jednou ze základních metod jejich řešení je tzv. metoda kroků. Na závěr první kapitoly je uvedena věta o existenci a jednoznačnosti řešení, její důkaz a potažmo i důsledek. S funkcionálními diferenciálními rovnicemi se můžeme setkat v mnoha oborech. Jejich aplikací jsou matematické modely, které popisují různé problémy. Biologie (potažmo botanika) je jednou z vědních disciplín, kde se funkcionální diferenciální rovnice používají. Jako příklad zde uvádíme tzv. slunečnicovou rovnici, která popisuje pohyb rostlin za sluncem (tzv. heliotropismus).

Abstract:

In this thesis we study the theme of the functional differential equations. These equations were created by combining functional and differential equations. The majority of functional differential equations are difficult to solve. One of the basic methods of their solution is called the method of steps. The existence and uniqueness of solutions, its proof and hence the result is described at the end of the first chapter. We can meet with the functional diferential equations in many discipline. Their applications are mathematical models that describe the various problems. Biology (botany extension) is one of the disciplines where functional differential equations are used. As an example, here is the sunflower equation that describes the motion of the plants for the sun (called heliotropism).
