Moravian land assembly 1848-1915

Abstract:

V mé práci jsem se zabýval Moravským zemským sněmem v letech 1848-1915. Moravský zemský sněm byl a je symbolem samostatnosti a samosprávní moci na území Moravy. Proč? Protože právě tento sněm byl nejvyšším představitelem moravské samosprávy a svým způsobem byl tvůrcem moravské vůle. Všechno toto se odehrávalo ale v omezeném prostoru habsburské monarchie. Tato práce je o změnách a vývoji tohoto sněmu v pozadí změn celé monarchie. Jaký byl vztah mezi Korunou českou a Moravou? Je to vztah bratra a sestry nebo spíš otce a dcery? Názory historiků jsou různé. Z mého pohledu je pohled na Moravský zemský sněm v 19. století pohledem na vývoj vztahů Němců a Čechů. Tento vztah měl dva vyvrcholení. Prvním byl Moravský pakt v roce 1905 a druhým vznik samostatného Československa v roce 1918.

Abstract:

In my work, I deal with the Moravian land assembly in years 1848 and 1915. The Moravian land assembly was and is a symbol of independence and self-governing power in territory of Moravia. Why? Because this assembly was the highest representative of Moravian self-government and also a creator of Moravian independent will. Everything this was set in limited space of Habsburg monarchy. This work is about the changes and evolution of this assembly in the background of all monarchy changes. What was the relationship between The Crown of Bohemia and Moravia? Is it the relationship of brother and his sister or father and his daughter? The opinions of historians are various. From my point of view, the look at Moravian land assembly in 19.th century is also the look at the relationship between Germans and Czechs. This relationship had two culminations. The first one was the Moravian Treaty in year 1905 and the second one was the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in year 1918.
