British Youth, Politics and the punk phenomenon in the 1970s

Mládež, politika a fenomén punku ve Velké Británii v 70.letech minulého století
Abstract:
The objective of this thesis is to analyse the politics and socio-economic background that led to the emergence of the punk phenomenon in Britain in the 1970s. It answers the question of why punk was so popular among young people and why it spread so fast across the whole of Britain. The two most famous bands of the British punk-rock era are introduced.

Cílem bakalářské práce je analýza politického, kulturního a společensko-ekonomického vývoje ve Velké Británii a odpověď na otázky, co vedlo ke vzniku punkového hnutí a proč se punk stal v polovině 70. let dvacátého století celospolečenským fenoménem. Jsou představeny dvě nejznámější kapely britské punk-rockové scény.
