Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je přiblížit profesní vztah Bedřicha Smetany a jeho libretistky Elišky Krásnohorské, a to především prostřednictvím dochovaných korespondencí, které představují důležitý a autentický materiál dokládající způsob jejich vzájemné spolupráce a komunikace. Práce se zabývá posledními Smetanovými operami, které napsal již v období hluchoty. Pozornost je věnována především jejich vzniku, vývoji, podílu obou umělců na jejich konečném znění, ale také premiérám a ohlasům těchto děl.

Abstract:

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to zoom in the professional relationship between Bedřich Smetana and his librettist Eliška Krásnohorská, firstly through the surviving correspondences which present an authentic and important material documenting the proceeding of their reciprocal partnership and communication. The work deals with the last Smetana´s operas which he wrote during the period of his deafness. A special attention is devoted not only to their arise, development, the participation of both artists in their final versions, but also to the premieres and the response of these pieces of work.
