Candidaemia belongs to serious bloodstream infections caused by the genus Candida – whose early laboratory diagnosis and early identification of the originator is important. The aim of this study was to master the techniques used to identify yeasts and their comparison, the evaluation of cases of candidaemia in University Hospital Brno and comparison with world data.
