The thesis analyses formal powers of current European monarchs and its actual use. Royal prerogatives of ten European monarchs are investigated in the text – of Belgian, British, Danish, Dutch, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish one.
