Diplomová práca porovnáva úpravy auditu účtovnej závierky v Českej republike a Spojených štátoch amerických. Na začiatok práca uvádza teoretické poznatky, ktoré zahŕňajú stručnú históriu vývoja auditu v rozoberaných štátoch, priblíženia poňatia auditu účtovnej závierky, jeho regulácie a hlavné subjekty pôsobiace v jeho oblasti.
