Determination of the transverse warping of shape-moulded plywood plates using the digital image correlation method

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá stanovením míry borcení tvarově lisovaných bukových překližek pomocí metody korelace digitálního obrazu. Experimentální část je založena na sérii jednostranného postřikování vodní mlhou s průběžným měřením vybraných parametrů desek, včetně měření po třech dnech od posledního vlhčení. Rozměrové změny desek navozené změnou vlhkostních parametrů byly hodnoceny ve směru tloušťky, šířky a délky desek, zatímco tvarové změny byly vyjádřeny jako odchylka ve směru osy „z“ od původního tvaru podél šířky, délky a obou úhlopříček desek. Z výsledků měření je patrno, že po celkovém přírůstku absolutní vlhkosti desek 5,62 % došlo ke statisticky významnému přírůstku tloušťky (o 3,1 %), ke statisticky nevýznamnému přírůstku šířky (o 5 %) a délky (o 0.3 %) desky. Statisticky významná křivost desky byla pozorována u většiny desek podél šířky, délky a obou úhlopříček. Přičemž nejvýraznější odchylku od rovinnosti (o 3,63 mm) lze u většiny desek pozorovat po jedné z úhlopříček desek a nejmenší podél šířky desky (o 2,48 mm). Tyto změny rozměrů a tvaru byly statisticky vyhodnoceny jako reverzibilní pouze v případě desky č.3.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the determination of the degree of shrinkage of shapemoulded beech plywood using the digital image correlation method. The experimental part is based on a series of one-sided water mist spraying with continuous measurement of selected parameters of the boards, including measurements after three days from the last wetting. The dimensional changes of the plates induced by the change of the moisture parameters were evaluated in the thickness, width and length directions of the plates, while the shape changes were expressed as the deviation in the direction of the "z" axis from the original shape along the width, length and both diagonals of the plates. The measurement results show that after a total absolute moisture content increase of 5.62 %, there was a statistically significant increase in the thickness (3.1 %), a statistically insignificant increase in the width (5 %) and length (0.3 %) of the boards. Statistically significant plate curvature was observed for most plates along the width, length and both diagonals, with the most significant deviation from flatness (by 3.63 mm) observed along one of the plate diagonals and the smallest along the plate width (by 2.48 mm). These changes in dimensions and shape were statistically evaluated as reversible only in the case of Plate 3.
