Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem Paralelní protagonisté aneb Jak Hugo Haas reinterpretoval Bílou nemoc (1937) se zabývá strukturou a vznikem filmu Bílá nemoc (1937). Cílem práce je v opozici vůči diskurzu prokázat existenci čtyř různých taktik vyprávění v rámci struktury filmu a dále prokázat samostatnou uměleckou hodnotu filmu. V metodologické části jsou představeny klíčové pojmy jako kategorie paralelních protagonistů, záměrnost a intencionální tok. V navazující kapitole se nachází neoformalistická analýza dokazující čtyři strategie vyprávění. Následně je zohledněn proces vzniku filmu v kontextu širších kulturních faktorů, ve kterých Hugo Haas operoval jako kreativní entita.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis entitled Parallel Protagonists or How Hugo Haas Reinterpreted The White Disease (1937) deals with the structure and the making of The White Disease (1937). The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate, in opposition to discourse, the existence of four different narrative tactics within the structure of the film and to further demonstrate the independent artistic value of the film. In the methodological section key concepts such as the category of parallel protagonists, intentionality, intentional flux and others are introduced. The follow-up chapter provides a neo-formalist analysis demonstrating the four narrative strategies. The process of creation of the film is then considered in the context of the broader cultural factors in which Hugo Haas operated as a creative entity.
