Design and testing of a web interface service for the Municipal Library of Prague

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the Beletrion web service, which is being developed in cooperation with the Municipal Library in Prague, the Department of Information Studies and the Librarianship at Masaryk University in Brno and also as part of the Redesign of Library Services 2020 project. The work specifically focuses on user testing and the design of the visual user interface of the service. The thesis also includes a detailed description of the methods and tools used, as well as the process of conducting the testing and designing the interface. The conclusion of the thesis is focused on the presentation and description of the results.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca je zameraná na webovú službu Beletrion, ktorá vzniká v spolupráci s Mestskou knižnicou v Prahe, Katedrou informačních studií a knihovnictví Masarykovej univerzity v Brne a tiež aj ako súčasť projektu Redesign knihovných služeb 2020. Práca sa konkrétne sústreďuje na používateľské testovanie a na návrh vizuálnej stránky používateľ-ského rozhrania danej služby. Súčasťou práce je aj detailný opis využitých metód a nástro-jov, ako aj priebeh uskutočnenia testovania a návrhu rozhrania. Záver práce sa venuje pre-zentácií a popisu výsledkov.
