SOX family proteins are transcriptional factors that greatly contribute to regulation of the ontogenesis. An abnormal expression of these proteins may lead to tumorigenesis and consequently to the progress of various cancers. Proteiny z rodiny SOX jsou transkripčními faktory, které se ve velké míře podílejí na regulaci ontogeneze. Abnormální exprese těchto proteinů může vést k tumorigenezi a tím i k vývoji různých nádorových onemocnění.
