Analysis of Art Brut artworks influenced by the spirituality of the Podkrkonoší region

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje umělecké tvorbě Art Brut a směrům s tímto korespondujícími, které analyzuje z perspektivy Kantovy Kritiky soudnosti, a to z jeho pojetí umění, nápodoby a génia. Práce vychází z tradice spiritismu v Podkrkonoší a je zaměřena na prezentaci projevů medijního umění a jeho autorů. Sleduje také souvislost s aspekty surrealismu světové i české tvorby, především výtvarné. Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, do jaké míry je vlastně Kantovo přemýšlení aktuální ve vztahu k možnostem interpretace postupů umělců Art Brut a autorů jinak pracujících se změněnými stavy vědomí.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is devoted to Art Brut and the directions corresponding to it, which it analyses from the perspective of Kant's Critique of Judgement, namely from his conception of art, imitation and genius. The work is based on the tradition of spiritualism in the Podkrkonoší region and focuses on the presentation of manifestations of medium art and its authors. It also traces the connection with aspects of surrealism in world and Czech art, especially visual art. The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out to what extent Kant's thinking is actually relevant in relation to the possibilities of interpreting the practices of Art Brut artists and authors otherwise working with altered states of consciousness.
