Abstract:

This thesis explores the rich thematic range in the work of Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Based on a comprehensive analysis of his poems, my research focuses on identifying and categorizing the most recurrent themes across Ferlinghetti's poetry. This basic thematic classification serves as the basis for a deeper investigation that focuses on individual poems and their predominant themes. Through this approach, the study seeks to reveal the complexity and diversity of Ferlinghetti's poetic expressions and sheds light on the prevalent motifs that shape his distinctive literary language. By delving into his eclectic verses, this work contributes to a deeper understanding of Ferlinghetti's impact on contemporary poetry and highlights the versatility and significance of his work.

Abstract:

Tato práce zkoumá bohatou tematickou škálu v díle Lawrence Ferlinghettiho. Na základě komplexní analýzy básní se můj výzkum věnuje identifikaci a kategorizaci nejčastěji se opakujících témat napříč Ferlinghettiho poezií. Tato základní tematická klasifikace slouží jako základ pro hlubší zkoumání, které se zaměřuje na jednotlivé básně a jejich převažující témata. Díky tomuto přístupu se studie snaží odhalit složitost a rozmanitost Ferlinghettiho básnických projevů a vrhá světlo na převládající motivy, které utvářejí specifický literární jazyk. Proniknutím do jeho eklektických veršů tato práce přispívá k hlubšímu pochopení Ferlinghettiho přínosu současné poezii a zdůrazňuje všestrannost a význam jeho díla.
