The evaluation of revenues from Czech sport clubs related to the business cycle between years 2005-2011

Abstract:

V diplomové práci se zaměřuji na problematiku financování sportu v České republice v letech 2005-2011. Definuji sport, jeho ekonomiku, zdroje financování a vliv na státní rozpočet. Analyzuji příjmy jednotlivých klubů v kontextu financování sportu ze strany státu. V práci objasňuji základní definice sportu, věnuji se jeho přínosům a pozitivům. Zkoumám vztah mezi průběhem hospodářského cyklu a výsledky hospodaření sportovních klubů. Na základě této analýzy se snažím odpovědět na otázku: "Jsou příjmy sportovních klubů ovlivněny průběhem hospodářského cyklu?", což je hlavním cílem mé diplomové práce. V teoretické části diplomové práce je provedena deskripce jednotlivých teoretických koncepcí teorie firmy s důrazem na uplatnění ve sportovním prostředí. Definuji základní pojmy a význam sportu pro společnost. Dále rozeberu a podrobím analýze financování sportu v ČR s vlivem na HDP. Věnuji se jednotlivým způsobům financování sportu. V současnosti se sportovní odvětví potýká s úbytkem zdrojů. Důvodem jsou jednak úsporná opatření, ale také legislativní změny ovlivňující přerozdělování finančních prostředků pro sport. Oba tyto faktory v práci analyzuji. Definuji a komentuji i výpadek příjmů sportovních klubů pro rok 2012 od společnosti Sazka a.s.. V praktické části sleduji vývoj příjmů vybraných sportovních klubů v ČR v souvislosti s průběhem hospodářského cyklu. Ke zpracování diplomové práce je využita převážně kombinace metod pozorování (observace), komparace a indukce.

Abstract:

By using the methods of description, observation and induction, my diploma thesis investigates the issue of financing of sport in the Czech Republic in the years 2005-2011. I explore the nature of sport, its economy, sources of funding and the influence on the state budget. This is done by analyzing the sport clubs' revenues in the context of state sport financing. My thesis explains the basic definitions of sport, its benefits and advantages. The main goal is to answer the question; "Is there is a relationship between business cycle and evaluation of sport clubs revenues". The theoretical part deals with economic theory of firms by using description method to use that in sport environment. I define the basic terms and the meaning of sport for our society. By studying and analyzing the financing of sport in the Czech republic and its relationship to Czech GDP, I can focus on each method of sport financing. Today, the sport industry is losing a lot of resources. One of the reasons is the need to save money, but also changes in legislation, which influence the redistribution of money. In my thesis I focus on both these factors. My example for this is the income from Sazka a.s. in 2012. The evaluation of revenues from selected Czech sport clubs related to the business cycle are described in the practical part of my thesis. I use the methods of observation, comparison and induction in my diploma thesis.
