Risks of Flu Virus Infection in the Statutory City of Olomouc

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá riziky nákazy virem chřipky ve statutárním městě Olomouc. Cílem práce je posoudit rizika při nákaze obyvatelstva virem chřipky typu A, a vytvořit návrhy opatření pro minimalizaci rizik. Práce se dělí na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou definovány základní pojmy a právní předpisy v oblasti epidemie, dále je zde popsána epidemiologie chřipky, vyjmenovány chřipkové pandemie, které nastaly v minulosti. V části teoretické jsou také popsány pandemické plány, statistické údaje výskytu chřipkové epidemie v České republice v roce 2020 a závěr teoretické části se zabývá řízením rizik na území regionu. Praktická část je zaměřena na představení statutárního města Olomouce. Pro sběr a identifikaci rizik je použit Checklist, následně je využita metoda What-if Analysis a Matice rizik pro vyhodnocení již vyhledaných rizik. Součástí diplomové práce jsou návrhy opatření pro minimalizaci rizik a také návrh strategie očkování proti chřipce ve statutárním městě Olomouc a dále analogie COVID-19 a chřipky.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the risks of influenza virus infection in the statutory city of Olomouc. The aim of this thesis is to assess the risks of infection of the population with influenza A virus, and to develop measures proposals to minimize risks. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and legislation in the field of the epidemic, then it describes the epidemiology of influenza and finally it lists the influenza pandemics that occurred in the past. The theoretical part further describes pandemic plans, statistical data on the occurrence of the influenza epidemic in the Czech Republic in 2020 and the conclusion of the theoretical part deals with risk management in the region. The practical part is focused on the introduction of the statutory city of Olomouc. A checklist is used to collect and identify risks, afterwards, the What-if Analysis method and the Risk Matrix are used to evaluate already identified risks. Furthermore, the diploma thesis includes measures proposals to minimize risks and also a proposal for influenza vaccination strategy in the statutory city of Olomouc, as well as the analogy of COVID-19 and influenza.
