Factors affecting the return of women to the labour market after maternity or parental leave in the Czech republic in the period 2007-2017

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá zaměstnaností žen, které po mateřské či rodičovské dovolené vstupují na trh práce. Cílem práce je identifikace hlavních faktorů ovlivňujících návrat žen pečujících o děti do 15 let věk na pracovní trh v České republice. V teoretické části jsou popsány hlavní faktory, vycházející z odborné literatury, které tento návrat ovlivňují. Praktická část analyzuje podporu žen na mateřské a rodičovské dovolené a sleduje vývoj zaměstnanosti a nezaměstnanosti žen v České republice a na Slovensku. Součástí je i kvantitativní dotazník zjišťující, jak probíhá návrat žen do zaměstnání. Práce dochází k závěru, že návrat žen na pracovní trh po rodičovské dovolené je pro většinu z nich obtížnou záležitostí, a to díky mnoha faktorům. Hodně žen shledává nabídku forem péče o děti za nedostatečnou a většina žen shledává nabídku flexibilních forem práce za neuspokojivou.

Abstract:

This work deals with the employment of women after maternity or parental leave are entering the labour market. The objective of this work is the identification of the main factors affecting the return of women caring for children under 15 years of age on the labour market in the Czech republic. In the theoretical part are described the main factors coming out of literature, that this return affect. The practical part analyzes the support for women on maternity and parental leave and monitors the development of employment and unemployment of women in the Czech republic and Slovakia. It also includes a quantitative questionnaire to ascertain how is the women's return to employment. The work concludes that the return of women to the labour market after parental leave is for most of them a difficult matter, and it's thanks to many factors. A lot of women finds the range of forms of childcare for the lack of and the majority of women finds the offer of flexible forms of work considered unsatisfactory.
