Applying LEAN methodology in an IT company

Abstract:

Současná hospodářská soutěž je stejně intenzivní, jako kdyby došlo k překonání trhů, bariéry přístupu na nové trhy se zmenšily a objem nových společností se zvyšuje. Zákazníci na druhé straně jsou živí pro produkty nebo služby, které uspokojí jejich potřeby, budou přizpůsobeny, poskytovány co nejdříve as nejvýhodnější cenou. Některé společnosti, které se nacházejí v různých odvětvích, aby prosperovaly na trhu, použily myšlenku nazvanou "Lean". Vytvoření pracovního toku, který eliminuje odpad během procesu a dává zákazníkovi personalizovaný produkt pouze v množství, které je požadováno na trhu, ne méně méně, je základem této metodiky. Tento přístup ke zlepšení chce dosáhnout procesu, který plyne bez chyb, ale na druhé straně se zaměřuje i na zaměstnance a zaměřuje se na jejich posílení. Tématem této práce je vysvětlit uplatnění metodiky "Lean" v IT společnosti, která je ve vysoce konkurenčním průmyslu. Cílem diplomové práce je konkrétně řešit problémy, s nimiž se setkává při implementaci "Lean". Studie vychází z teoretického přehledu metodologie "Lean". Proces implementace je rozdělen do fází a výsledky jsou měřeny, aby bylo vidět, zda byly cíle dosaženy.

Abstract:

Competition today is as intense as ever as markets come to be overfilled, barriers to access new markets diminish, and the amount of new companies increases. Customers on the other side are voracious for products or services that will satisfy their needs, to be personalized, to be provided as soon as possible and with the most satisfying price. Some of the companies, in different sector in order to thrive success in the marketplace have applied a mindset named “Lean”. Creating a workflow that eliminates wastes during the process and gives the customer the personalized product only in the amount that is required in market, not more not less, are the basis of this methodology. This improvement approach wants to achieve a process that flows without error, but on the other hand targets also the employees and has on focus their empowerment. The topic of this thesis is to explain the application of “Lean” methodology in an IT company which is in a highly competitive industry. The target of thesis is specifically in challenges faced during “Lean” implementation. The study is based on theoretical overview of “Lean” methodology. Implementation process is divided in phases and the results are measured, in order to see if the goals were achieved.
