Kindergarten Teachers' Views on Age-Heterogeneous and Homogeneous Classes

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce má teoreticko-empirický charakter. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit názory učitelů mateřských škol na věkově heterogenní a homogenní uspořádaní tříd. Teoretická část se věnuje charakteristice obou typů tříd a popisuje výhody a nevýhody jednotlivých tříd. Dále se zabývá pedagogickou činností v heterogenních a homogenních třídách. Praktická část představuje výzkum, který byl realizován pomocí dotazníkového šetření a byl určen učitelům mateřských škol v Jihomoravském kraji. Výzkum poukazuje na názory učitelů homogenních a heterogenních tříd spojenými s výhodami a nevýhodami jednotlivých typů tříd a vysvětluje, které uspořádání tříd, je v rámci adaptace dítěte na mateřskou školu vhodnější. Závěr práce seznamuje čtenáře se zjištěnými výsledky a navrhuje možná doporučení pro praxi.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis has a theoretical-empirical character. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out the opinions of kindergarten teachers on age heterogeneous and homogeneous classroom arrangement. The theoretical part is devoted to the characteristics of both types of classrooms and describes the advantages and disadvantages of each classroom. It also discusses pedagogical activities in heterogeneous and homogeneous classrooms. The practical part presents the research, which was carried out by means of a questionnaire survey and was addressed to kindergarten teachers in the South Moravian Region. The research highlights the opinions of teachers of homogeneous and heterogeneous classes connected with the advantages and disadvantages of each type of classroom and explains which classroom arrangement is more suitable in the context of a child's adaptation to kindergarten. The conclusion of the paper introduces the reader to the findings and suggests possible recommendations for practice.
