Business plan for establishing a company in the field of food sales. Comparison of Czech and American business environment.

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je sestavit podnikatelské plány pro dvě společnosti s totožným podnikatelským záměrem, ale s odlišnou geografickou působností. Obě zabývající se prodejem mražené přirozené stravy pro zvířata pomocí výdejních automatů, ale jedna působící v Praze v České republice a druhá v Miami na Floridě. Cílem práce je prokázat či vyvrátit realizovatelnost zvoleného podnikatelského záměru. Práce si klade dále za úkol zodpovědět následující výzkumné otázky: Ve kterém z vybraných měst bude plán vykazovat lepší profitabilitu a kde dříve dosáhneme případného bodu zvratu? Jaké jsou základní rozdíly v trendech s produkty mraženého masa pro psy na vybraných trzích? Jaký je stav konkurenčního prostředí na trhu těchto výrobků dostupných v daných městech? Na které bariéry můžeme narazit a jak je budeme adresovat?

Abstract:

The subject of this diploma thesis is to compile business plans for two companies with the same business plan, but with different geographical scope. Both deal with the sale of frozen natural food for animals using vending machines, but one operates in Prague in the Czech Republic and the other in Miami, Florida. The aim of the work is to prove or refute the feasibility of the chosen business plan. The thesis also aims to answer the following research questions: In which of the selected cities will the plan show better profitability and where will we reach a possible turning point sooner? What are the basic differences in trends with frozen meat products for dogs in selected markets? What is the competitive environment in the market for these products available in the cities? What barriers can we encounter and how will we address them?
