Tea consumption in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Téma této diplomové práce je zaměřeno na konzumaci čaje v České republice. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat český trh a zjistit, jaké jsou postoje spotřebitelů. Je popsána historie pěstování a distribuce čaje ve světě. Část práce se věnuje představení tohoto nápoje, jeho významu i využití po celém světě. Pro dosažení výsledků jsou použity tři typy zkoumání. První se zabývá nabídkou čajů v obhodních řetězcích, e-shopech i specializovaných prodejnáh. Druhý využívá odpovědí běžných spotřebitelů, zkoumá jejich postoje a návyky. K tomuto úcelu byl vybrán kvantitativní i kvalitativní výzkum. Úkolem práce je provést analýzu nabídky čajů v nákupních řetězcích. V rámci dotazníkového šetření se zjišťuje na vybraném vzorku populace obliba čaje a jeho konzumace. Hypotézou se rozumí, že černé čaje tvoří minimální 50 % z objemu prodeje všech typů čajů respondentů, kteří zastupují generaci X. Generací X se rozumí lidé, narození mezi lety 1965 a 1981.Třetí část, se věnuje návrhům zvýšení kvantily a kvality konzumace čaje v ČR.

Abstract:

The topic of this diploma thesis is focused on the consumption of tea in the Czech Republic. The aim of the work is to map the Czech market and find out what are the attitudes of consumers. The history of tea cultivation and distribution in the world is described. Part of the work is devoted to the introduction of this drink, its importance and usage around the world. Three types of research are used to achieve results. The first deals with the offer of tea in commercial chains, e-shops and specialized stores. The second uses the answers of ordinary consumers, examines their attitudes and habits. Quantitative and qualitative research was selected for this purpose. The task of this work is to analyze the supply of tea in shopping chains. Within the questionnaire survey, the popularity of tea and its consumption is determined on a selected sample of the population. The hypothesis means that black teas make up at least 50% of the sales volume of all types of teas of the respondents representing Generation X. Generation X refers to people born between 1965 and 1981. The third part deals with proposals to increase the quantile and quality of tea consumption in the Czech Republic.
