This thesis concentrates on the linguistic analysis of German surnames in the town of Florianópolis. The first chapters explain the presence of German surnames in this South Brazilian town, with a special respect to German settlement and its impact on this region as well as to a newly established ethnic group, the so called ?teuto-brasileiros ? Tato diplomová práce se zabývá lingvistickou analýzou německých příjmení ve městě Florianópolis. Úvodní kapitoly objasňují výskyt německých příjmení v tomto jihobrazilském městě a věnují se především německé kolonizaci, jeho vlivu na toto území a nově vzniklé etnické skupině, tak?teuto-brasileiros ?
