Design Guidelines for User Interface for Augmented Reality

Abstract:

Práca analyzuje uživateľské prostredia a smernice pre rozšírenú realitu, posudzuje už existujúce rozhrania pre virtuálnu realitu a ostatné zariadena na zistenie prijateľnej aplikácie v rozšírenej reality spolu s autorskými nápadmi a smernicami. Výskum vyberá praktické časti analýzy ako typy ovládania a prezentačné elementy vhodné pre zariadenia rozšírenej reality na navrhnutie správnej aplikácia vrámci smerníc. Účel tejto práce je tvorba sady smerníc pre návrh užívateľského prostredia. Okrem toho, práca popisuje potenciálne využitie smerníc, hlavného prínosu práce, pre technológiu rozšírenej reality v priemyselnom prostredí, obzvlášt pre inštrukcie a súpravu úloh. Využitie smerníc pre tvorbu užívateľského prostredia sústredené na prirodzenú interakciu človeka so strojom je ďalšou dôležitou časťou výskumu. Dúfa sa, že táto štúdia a vytvorenie smerníc pomôže s budúcim dizajnom aplikácií pre rozšírené reality. Buď pomôže s reálnou aplikáciou alebo s ďalším výskumom tejto oblasti štúdie pre progres normalizovaných techník a prístupov.

Abstract:

The paper analyzes user interfaces and guidelines for augmented reality, reviews already existing interfaces for virtual reality and other devices to determine the plausible application in augmented reality with the addition of auctorial ideas and guidelines. The research extracts practical parts of the analysis, like the control types and the presentation elements suitable for the augmented reality devices in order to suggest the right application within the guidelines. The creation of the set of the guidelines for the user interface designing is the purpose of this paper. Besides that, it describes potential application of the guidelines, the main outcome of the work, for the augmented reality technology in the industrial environment, especially for the instructions and assembly tasks. The utilization of the guidelines for the user interface creation focused on natural human-machine interaction is another important part of the research. It is hoped that this study and the guideline creation will help with the future augmented reality application designing. Either to help with the real application or with the further research of this field of study to progress with more normalized techniques and approaches.
