Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce zkoumá životní ideály a principy spisovatelů Karla Čapka a Ilji Erenburga na pomezí jejich utopických vědecko-fantastických románů Válka s Mloky a Trust D. E. Historie zkázy Evropy. Cílem práce je poukázat na vědecko-fantastické utopické motivy použité v klíčových dílech, jejich konfrontace a nalezení prvků jak společných, tak rozdílných. Na základě podrobné analýzy se odhalují společná témata i motivy, pomocí kterých jsou ztvárněny v satirické podobě varující vize spisovatelů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of the novels War with the Newts by Karel Čapek and Trust D.E. (Destruction of Europe) by Ilya Ehrenburg. The aim is to point out and analyze the anti utopian genre features as well as the elements of satire and the philosophical aspects. The aim of the thesis is to confront the distinctive features in the novels and to find common and different elements in Čapek’s and Ehrenburg’s science-fiction and their satirical view of the world.
