Corporate Social Responsibility in the banking sector

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat systém Corporate Social Responsibility v bankovním sektoru, navrhnout určitá opatření pro řešení zjištěných nedostatků a způsoby hodnocení efektivnosti realizovaných aktivit. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část vymezuje základní pojmy související s problematikou Corporate Social Responsibility, uvádí její základní charakteristické znaky a principy, související a často zaměňované koncepce a zásadní argumenty pro přijetí nebo nepřijetí konceptu do podnikové praxe. Dále je zde také popsána situace nejen v České republice, ale i ve vybraných zemích Evropské unie. Praktická část analyzuje systém společensky odpovědných aktivit ve společnosti Česká Spořitelna, a.s. a zabývá se návrhem konkrétních indikátorů pro měření realizovaných aktivit, které by organizaci umožnily dlouhodobě sledovat jejich efektivnost.

Abstract:

The aim of this Master's thesis is to analyze the system of Corporate Social Responsibility in the banking sector, to propose some measures for solution of identified deficiencies and ways of evaluating the effectiveness of implemented activities. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to the issue of Corporate Social Responsibility, presents its basic characteristics and principles, related and often confused concepts and arguments for the acceptance or rejection of the concept into business practice. There is also described the situation in the Czech Republic and also in selected countries of the European Union. The practical part analyzes the system of socially responsible activities in Česká spořitelna, a.s. and deals with a proposal of specific indicators of implemented activities, which can allow the organization to monitor their effectiveness.
