Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je predovšetkým komplexná analýza inštitútu zmenkový a šekový protest, ako nástroja sprevádzajúceho zmenky a šeky. Práca rozoberá podstatu protestu z pohľadu procesnoprávneho i hmotnoprávneho, možnosti využitia protestu, priebeh jeho realizácie, druhy a účastníkov protestu, ako i následky protestácie.
