The rehabilitation protocol of a sports patient following osteosynthesis by tibial plateau fracture: clinical case

Abstract:

The following work proposes a rehabilitation protocol of tibial plateau fracture, of a young sportsman, caused by a road accident, treated with osteosynthesis and with subsequent return to the sport practiced. This type of fracture can be generated in different ways, for this reason various types of fractures can occur, different from each other and therefore classified differently. There are various classifications of fracture of the tibial plateau, but the one used below is that of Schatzker, although to date, as demonstrated in a study cited below, it has been found that the most precise method of classification, currently, uses a 3D TC. This type of fracture can be treated conservatively or surgically, specifically a post osteosynthesis rehabilitation intervention is examined here. To date, opinions on when to grant a total load to the patient have always been debated, but some recent studies as reported in this work, have shown how important it is for a positive outcome not to delay this date too much, showing that not only a sudden load concession does not represent this great risk, which has often been erroneously thought, but that indeed if the reduction has been well executed, it can only help the healing process with a faster recovery of daily activities.

Abstract:

Il seguente lavoro propone un protocollo riabilitativo di frattura di piatto tibiale, di un giovane sportivo, causata da un incidente stradale, trattata con osteosintesi e con successivo ritorno allo sport praticato. Questo tipo di frattura pu? essere generata in modi differenti, proprio per questo possono presentarsi vari tipi di fratture, diverse tra loro e quindi classificate in modo differente. Esistono svariate classificazioni di frattura del piatto tibiale, ma quella utilizzata di seguito ? quella di Schatzker, anche se ad oggi, come dimostrato in uno studio citato in seguito, si ? riscontrato che il metodo pi? preciso di classificazione, attualmente, si avvale di una TC 3D. Questo tipo di fratture possono essere trattate conservativamente o chirurgicamente, nello specifico qui viene preso in esame un intervento riabilitativo post osteosintesi. Fino ad oggi i pareri, su quando concedere un carico totale al paziente, sono sempre stati dibattuti, ma alcuni recenti studi come riportato in questo lavoro, hanno dimostrato quanto sia importante per un outcome positivo non tardare troppo questa data, dimostrando che non solo una concessione di carico repentina non rappresenta questo gran rischio, che si ? spesso erroneamente pensato, ma che anzi se la riduzione ? stata ben eseguita, pu? solo aiutare il processo di guarigione con una pi? celere ripresa delle attivit? quotidiane.
